Multi-flow Experimental Rig

In the Rock Physic laboratory at the NOC, we have designed an experimental multi-flow rig for CO2 storage experiments that allow us to relate geophysical signatures of rocks samples to their hydro-mechanical changes, under controlled thermal and pressure conditions. In a common 2-phase flow experiment, we inject CO2 and brine in a rock sample. We can measure strains and relative permeability in continuous, while resistivity and ultrasonic properties can be acquired at any time (see https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijggc.2017.11.019).
